Khan is a former professional cricketer from India who represented the national team in all formats from 2000 to 2014. He bowls fast-medium with his left arm.
He was the second-most successful Indian speed bowler in Test cricket, after Kapil Dev. Zaheer Khan began his domestic career by playing for Baroda.
Khan was well-known in his early career for his aggressive seam and pace bowling, particularly his quick inch-perfect yorkers.
He is largely recognized as one of the best bowlers to have represented India.

Former Indian bowler Zaheer Khan awarded Rajat Patidar with his first Test cap before of the start of play on Day 1 of India’s second match against England in Visakhapatnam.
In a video shared by the BCCI, Zaheer advised Patidar to take the occasion in and encouraged the youngster to express himself and play his natural game.
Rajat Patidar’s colleagues and management staff both applauded him in the video.
Patidar was given the opportunity as India dealt with injuries to KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja. They also do not have Virat Kohli available since he opted out of the first two Tests for personal reasons.

Patidar has been in excellent form recently, scoring an incredible 151 for India A against the England Lions.
