Owais Shah is a former English cricketer. A middle-order batsman, he represented Middlesex from 1995 to 2010 and Essex from 2011 to 2013 before retiring from first-class cricket.
He played Twenty20 cricket for Hampshire in 2014 and 2015. He also represented England in all aspects of the sport.
Former cricketer Owais Shah praised Jasprit Bumrah for his match-winning effort in the second Test between India and England.
Bumrah took 6/45 in 15.5 overs as India dismissed England for 253 in their first innings in Visakhapatnam.

He then delivered a spell of 3/46 in 17.2 overs in the second essay, helping the hosts win by 106 runs on Monday (February 5) to even the five-match series.
During a Colors Cineplex discussion, Owais Shah was asked his opinion on Bumrah’s spell.
Bumrah was named Player of the Match after taking nine wickets. With 15 wickets, the right-arm seamer leads the series thus far.
He also became the fastest Indian seamer to reach 150 Test wickets, dismissing Ben Stokes in England’s opening innings.

Owais Shah was further asked about his thoughts on Ravichandran Ashwin’s spell.
However, the cricketer-turned-commentator acknowledged that Ollie Pope and Joe Root also aided the wily spinner’s cause.
Ashwin bowled 3/72 in 18 overs during England’s second innings. He dismissed Ben Duckett to give India an early lead, then removed Pope and Root to take three of the first four wickets.
