Her father is Mr. Dharamveer Malik represented India at the World cadet championships in 1995. Her uncle, Pawan Malik is a South Asian Games gold medallist. In 2012, she joined Chaudhary Bharat Singh Memorial Sports School in Nidani and is training under Jagdish Sheoren since then.
She won her 1st gold medal in national games in 2016 and won silver at the Asian Junior Wrestling Championships in Taiwan. She also won a bronze medal at World Cadet Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia.
In 2017, she won a gold medal at World Cadet Championships held in Athens, Greece in the women’s freestyle 60 kg event. A year later, in 2018, she won 2 medals, a bronze medal at World Cadet Championships, and a silver medal at World Junior Wrestling Championships.
In 2019, she won the gold medal in the women’s freestyle 59 kg category at Asian Junior Championships held in Chon Buri. In the following year, she won the bronze medal in the 57kg category at the Asian Wrestling Championships 2020.
Later that year, she won the silver medal at the Individual Wrestling World Cup in Belgrade, Serbia. She secured her berth at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in the women’s 57 kg category by reaching the final at the Asian Olympic Qualifiers in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
