New Zealand batsmen Glenn Phillips completed his second century in his courier of international T20 cricket. He crossed the hundred by hitting four on the delivery of Mahesh Theekshana. Phillips scored the century in just 61 balls. After achieving the milestone Phillips enjoy the moment and jump in the air. He lost his wicket after scoring 104 runs off 64 balls. Lahiru Kumara took Phillips down before New Zealand score a total of 167/7 after choosing to bat first.
Phillips was delighted with his strokes as he roared in front of the SCG crowd, and he also pointed his bat towards the Kiwi’s dressing room. Notably, it is the second century of the tournament, after South African batter, Rossouw’s scored 109 runs against Bangladesh. However, in the first three overs, the kiwi’s lost their three wickets Finn Allen, Devon Conway and Kane Williamson were all back in the dugout.
However after losing the wickets, phillips and Dary Mitchell shown the partnership of 84 runs. They contributed the team to set a respectable score. Phillips scored four sixes and ten fours with his bat to complete the century.
