When she won the 400-meter hurdles in a stunning 50.68 seconds in Eugene, Oregon, McLaughlin sent the audience into a frenzy and broke her own record that she had established at the same track less than a month earlier.
The 23-year-old American who won the gold medal at the Olympics led the 4×400-meter relay team to victory for the United States and teased spectators by saying she might next focus on the 400-meter sprint.

As the third person to break the world mark in 2022, Duplantis proved why he is the best pole vaulter of all time by clearing a record 6.21 metres (20.37 feet) to win gold in Eugene.
The 23-year-old pole vaulter Duplantis is the first to win gold at the Olympic Games, the World Championships, the World Indoor Championships, the World Junior Championships, the World Youth Championships, and the European Championships.
