India’s Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh), December 14 (ANI): Sports Authority of India “A” won the trophy on the final day of the Khelo India Women’s Hockey League 2022 (U-16) Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (Final Phase), securing the prize money of five lakh rupees.
Pritam Siwach Sports Promotion Foundation finished second with a loss on the day and received three lakh rupees.
while Har Hockey Academy came in third with a victory and received two lakh rupees.
Pritam Swach Sports Promotion Foundation was defeated by Sports Authority of India “A” by a score of 2-1 in the battle for first place, which was as close as it got.
Binati Minz (12′) gave Sports Authority of India “A” an early lead, and Karuna Minz (34′) doubled their advantage in the second half. With a goal from Ravina (40′), Pritam Siwach Sports Promotion Foundation roared back, but they were unable to capitalize on the momentum to stage a comeback.
Sports Authority of India “B” and Har Hockey Academy fought for third place, but Har Hockey Academy prevailed 3-1. Sports Authority of India “B” got off to a good start when Lalpeksangi scored the game’s first goal (19′), but they soon lost it when Captain Pooja of Har Hockey Academy converted a penalty corner (26′). Shashi Khasa (39′, 45′) scored a support with hardly a pause in between in the last part to guarantee Har Hockey Foundation completed third.
Odisha Naval Tata Hockey High-Performance Centre won their match against Ghumanhera Riser’s Academy 4-0, securing fifth place. Sanadam Babyrani (37′), Nirmala (39′), and Anushka Bhawre (20′, 49′) each scored a goal for her team.
Sports Hostel Odisha came in seventh place after defeating Salute Hockey Academy by a score of 6-1. Sports Hostel Odisha scored the first goal with Priyanka Rout (6′), but Payal Yadav (18′) of Salute Hockey Academy leveled the score with her goal. In the last part Sports Inn Odisha went on a scoring binge with objectives coming from Kanika Kerketta (35′), Sushmita Excrement Manure (42′, 57′) and Archana Xalxo (59′).
