Wimbledon 2022: Amanda Anisimova Won Fourth-Round Game
Wimbledon 2022: Amanda Anisimova Won Fourth-Round Game. Amanda Anisimova mentioned her fellow American player’s fairing at the tournament. She mentioned the same after winning the fourth-round game at Wimbledon on Monday.
As per the news, she had been the only American countrywoman left apart. One of the two Americans remains in the single game. She joined Taylor Fritz, who won the first game earlier. After winning the game, she wasn’t able to believe that the final milestone was achieved.
Anisimova mentioned earlier,” It is quite surprising as we had such a strong competitor team of girls from America. They were doing great in the game, but I am quite happy that Taylor won the game. She even won it on the best date I.e. Fourth of July.”
The United States has its last remaining hopes as Anisimova, 20, and Fritz, 24 for singles games at All England Club. Each player will be playing in the quarterfinals on Wednesday. They have already experienced too many highs and lows in life while being a professional tennis player. Both players are having the belief in achieving more in the week. They should be doing nothing other than feeling grateful for what they have accomplished.
Hard Work Is Paying Off Now – Fritz
Fritz mentioned,“ The entire hard work seems to be paying off now. I have been doing well in the game and it feels quite amazing now. Thankfully I have reached the Wimbledon quarter-final. I have worked my entire life for this and am enjoying the feeling now. Although it doesn’t seem real, I am trying to digest what I have achieved. All I can say now is that I am moving ahead on the right path.”
Anisimova acquired the breakthrough in 2019 at French Open. She entered the semifinal game at the age of 17 years. She has been the future face of American tennis while Venus and Serena were officially retired.
She has been the front-runner and got immediate attention in the matter. Sisters are playing and Anisimova has yet to achieve a greater position in the spotlight. She has been dealing with the tragedy and bad luck for now.
A few months later, Anisimova’s father, Konstantin died of a heart attack. Konstantin was her coach as well and she lost him just a week before the US Open. She has to take a break from the rest of the games. In 2020, she had to stay out of the league again because of the pandemic situation.
