Angela Jacobs reportedly finished her studies at the University of South Carolina not too long ago, as stated in the information on her WFTV biography. Jacobs began her career as a journalist in 2008 with Fox Sports, where she worked as a contributing reporter covering the Rays and the Lightning in Florida. In 2012, she left Fox Sports to pursue other opportunities in the media industry. She worked as a sports writer for WSTP in Tampa Bay for a total of nine years, during which time she was honored with two regional Emmy Awards in addition to many other accolades and awards.
In 2013, she was hired by WFTV to work as an Eyewitness News reporter, a position in which she was given various responsibilities. Her reporting on the case of a woman who filed a lawsuit against a medical facility, claiming that she had been abused while a patient there, was the first thing that brought her to the notice of the general public.

Angela came forward with the news that she had breast cancer in the year 2020. She stated that she underwent 56 treatments in a matter of five weeks and four surgeries, all of which contributed to her suffering some hair loss. These treatments and surgeries contributed to her experiencing some hair loss. She had a brief period of improvement following a struggle that lasted for two years.
However, in the year 2020, she was given a second diagnosis of the disease, and in addition to other experimental treatments, she needed to go through chemotherapy.
She was a breast cancer survivor herself, and she worked as an advocate for other women in the same community alongside Vanessa Echols and Nancy Alvarez.
On a program for WFTV called “Hope and Healing” that she co-hosted in 2021 for a period of thirty minutes, she shared her experiences relating to her fight against cancer in 2020. The fight against breast cancer was one that Jacobs’ mother ultimately prevailed in.
