For each of the five teams, there will be competition for 246 Indian players and 163 international players to fill a maximum of 90 spots.
With a minimum requirement of 15 players, each of the five teams from Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Delhi can bid for up to 18 players. Seven international players are available to them, including one from an Associate nation. Each team has been given a cash prize of INR 12 crore, or approximately $1.46 million.
At least INR 9 crore will need to be spent by each of the five sides. Teams can only start five international players if at least one of them is from an Associate Nation during the WPL.
