Between December 12 and December 22, 2022, Cricket Kenya will host teams representing the Women’s National Teams of Qatar and Uganda in a T20i Tri-series tournament in Nairobi Gymkhana. This will be the first international tour for the Kenyan and Ugandan women’s cricket teams after the June 2022 Kipuka Memorial T20i tournament in Rwanda.
The last time Qatar competed in an international tournament was in Malaysia at the 2022 ACC Women’s T20 championship. A Women’s Twenty20 International (WT20I) cricket competition called the 2022–23 Kenya Women’s Tri-Nation Series will take place in Nairobi in December 2022.
Kenya, Uganda, and Qatar, as well as the host nation, will form the participating teams. Since the 2022 Kwibuka T20 Tournament, which took place in June 2022, the African teams haven’t played in a match.
