While the entire cricket world is engrossed in the ongoing World Cup, India’s domestic stars are busy showcasing their talent away from the public eye in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The tournament began on October 16 and will conclude on Monday, November 6 with the final to be played at the Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali.
The tournament is already making top headlines as many talented players are presenting their talent. Railways’ Ashutosh Sharma recently became the fastest Indian to score the fastest half-century in T20 cricket, breaking the long-standing record of former India all-rounder Yuvraj Singh.
A total of 38 teams are participating in India’s premier domestic T20 tournament. All the teams are divided into five groups, Group A, Group B, Group C, Group D, and Group E. Group A includes Mumbai, Hyderabad, Baroda, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram and Meghalaya while Group B includes. Chandigarh, Kerala, Services, Bihar, Assam, Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Sikkim.

Group C includes Railways, Manipur, Gujarat, Goa, Punjab, Saurashtra, Andhra and Arunachal Pradesh while Group D includes Vidarbha, Maharashtra, Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Bengal, Puducherry and Rajasthan.
Finally, Group E comprises Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Nagaland, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
