The Spanish men’s national cricket team will begin the 2023 cricket season with a six-match T20I series against the Isle of Man. From February 24 to February 26, 2023, Cricket Espana (CE) will host the Isle of Man Men’s National Team (IOM) for a six-match bilateral T20I series at the La Manga cricket field.
Matt Ansell will captain the Isle of Man, while Christian Munoz-Mills is likely to lead Spain. The series will be the first of many bilateral or multi-country games during the European summer, and the matches have a much bigger stake for Spain in terms of Team standings in the ICC T20Is rankings.
Following their previous assignment in the 2022 ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Europe Qualifier Group A, in which they finished second to Italy and were unable to advance to the Regional Finals this year in July in Scotland, the men’s teams from Spain and the Isle of Man will each play their first international matches.
