Team India will return to Asia to play Bangladesh in a multi-format series following their white-ball tour of New Zealand.
At the Sher-e-Bangla Stadium in Dhaka, the Men in Blue will take on Bangladesh in their next international match. On December 4, the match is scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. IST.
A three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand was recently played. As the Black Caps won the series 1-0, rain played spoilsport. The two teams’ second match in Hamilton was postponed due to persistent rain after New Zealand won the opening one-day international by seven wickets.
Despite having a significant advantage in the match, the hosts were unfortunately forced to settle for a tie in the third One-Day International in Christchurch.
After 18 overs, the Kiwis were leading the chase for 220 and were 104/1 when rain prevented further play. They had outrun the DLS par score by 50 runs. It was superfluous, however, as the need might have arisen to finish 20 overs for the outcome to be attainable.
A full-fledged team will take the field for India in the ODIs against Bangladesh
In the one-day internationals against Bangladesh, India will field a full team. While the Men in Blue fielded a number of young players under Shikhar Dhawan’s leadership in the ODIs against New Zealand, the Asian giants will see their senior players return.
Players, including Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Mohammed Shami, will be in real life interestingly since the T20 World Cup 2022.
The Men in Blue have three players who have not yet made their international debuts: Rajat Patidar, Rahul Tripathi, and Kuldeep Sen. The three-match One-Day International series against Bangladesh will be part of the ICC Cricket World Cup Super League, so the teams will be competing for 30 points in the standings.
India is still at the top of the points table, while Bangladesh is fifth, despite losing the series to the Kiwis. As Bangladesh strives to directly qualify for the 2023 World Cup, the upcoming series will be extremely significant from their perspective.
