When is Team India’s next match in the Test series against England?
India defeated England by five wickets in the fourth Test at Ranchi’s JSCA International Stadium Complex on Monday, February 26.
With the victory, India defeated the much-hyped Bazball challenge and won the five-match series 3-1.
The hosts did not start the series well, losing the first Test in Hyderabad by 28 runs. They battled back admirably, winning the following three Tests and the series.
After losing the toss and bowling first in the fourth Test at Ranchi, India managed to restrict the visitors to 112/5 before lunch on Day 1.
However, Joe Root (122 off 274) constructed a brilliant ton, propelling England to 353, with assistance from Ben Foakes (47) and Ollie Robinson (58).
In response, India dropped to 177/7. However, Dhruv Jurel (90) performed a Root and propelled India to 307, with some assistance from the lower order.
After keeping England’s advantage at 46, India’s spinners bamboozled the visitors in the second innings.
Ravichandran Ashwin took 5/51 and Kuldeep Yadav 4/22, as England were bowled out for 145.
Set to chase 192, India were in trouble at 120/5, but Shubman Gill (52) led the team home with Jurel (39).

The fourth and fifth Tests between India and England are separated by a few days.
The tough series’ final encounter will begin on March 7 at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamsala.
India will be hoping to conclude with a 4-1 victory, while England will aim to cap off a difficult Test tour on a good note.
The fifth and final Test match of the series will begin on March 7 at 9:30 a.m. IST, as have the previous four.
None of the Tests in the series have gone beyond the fifth day, so it will be intriguing to watch whether that changes in Dharamsala.
