Ricky Bhui talks up on Andhra’s rule of not commemorating personal milestones this year
Ricky Bhui, Andhra Pradesh’s wicketkeeper-batsman, indicated that the squad and skipper Hanuma Vihari had decided not to celebrate personal achievements this year.
Bhui struck a magnificent 175 to help Andhra Pradesh grab the lead in their 2023-24 Ranji Trophy opener against Bengal.
After allowing 409 runs in the first innings, the hosts appeared to be in trouble at 119/3 before Bhui’s knock powered them to 445 and a 36-run advantage.
After being named Player of the Match, Bhui stated the team’s policy on not celebrating personal achievements.

Despite the game finishing in a tie, Andhra’s first-inning advantage allowed them earn three points to Bengal’s one.
Bhui scored his 15th century in 64 games, and the gloveman now has 4000-run total in first-class cricket.
Ricky Bhui was selected by the Delhi Capitals in the 2024 IPL auction
Bhui was bought by the Delhi Capitals (DC) for a base price of ₹20 lakh at the previous IPL auction.
The Madhya Pradesh-born cricketer formerly played for SunRisers Hyderabad (SRH) between 2017 and 2019.
Despite being a famous name in India’s home circuit, Bhui has only played two IPL games.
He discussed the necessity of scoring runs and having an IPL contract to compete for larger things in the future.
The 27-year-old has an impressive T20 record, with an average of 32.54 and a strike rate of 138.35 in 62 outings.
Bhui will play his next game for Andhra against Mumbai at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday, January 12.
