“When he gets on Twitter he is one more fan” – Pablo Carreno Busta responds to Nick Kyrgios’ disparaging remarks about his tennis career
“When he gets on Twitter he is one more fan” – Pablo Carreno Busta responds to Nick Kyrgios’ disparaging remarks about his tennis career: Recently, Pablo Carreno Busta gave his response to Nick Kyrgios’ criticism of his tennis play, which Kyrgios had directed on Carreno Busta.
Pablo Carreno Busta shared his thoughts on Nick Kyrgios’ persistent jabs at other players, including himself, in an interview with Punto de Break. Carreno Busta was one of the players targeted.
Carreno Busta disregarded the comments made by the Australian by downgrading him to the status of merely another fan who made false statements about facts when posting on social media.
The Spaniard insisted that he has maintained his undivided attention on his tennis profession, and he also stated that he is close with a number of his fellow tennis players and enjoys spending time with them.
Declaration
“When he gets on Twitter, he becomes one more fan; this is why he says those things, which are frequently not based on fact. I don’t give it much publicity because it isn’t going anywhere, and I don’t care what other people think of me because I am focused on my profession and making an effort to enjoy it. Carreno Busta made the following declaration: “I have pals inside the circuit, and I have a great time with them, so think whatever you want.”
The Spaniard’s attitude was prompted by the incident in which Nick Kyrgios made fun of him for being a player on clay courts.
Kyrgios had stated in the past that if clay hadn’t been around, “guy” wouldn’t have even come near to being in the top 50.
After Pablo Carreno Busta won his first Masters 1000 championship on hard courts at the Canadian Open, he recently emerged with his views.
The Spaniard has won four of his seven tour-level titles on hard courts, which is in contrast to the comments made by the Australian. Both in 2017 and 2020, he advanced all the way to the semifinals of the United States Open. In addition, he secured an Olympic bronze medal by claiming victory over Novak Djokovic during the 2021 tournament held in Tokyo.
US Open
On the 29th of August, two of the most anticipated matches in the first round of the US Open will take place: Pablo Carreno Busta vs. Nick Kyrgios.
Dominic Thiem, the defending champion of the US Open, will be Pablo Carreno Busta’s next opponent. Over the course of the past year, Thiem has been sidelined as a result of a variety of issues, including injuries and other difficulties. He will participate in the competition thanks to a wild card spot. This will be the eighth time that they compete against one another on a tour-level level, and the Austrian has won all seven of their prior meetings. On the other hand, the result can turn out differently this time around.
Nick Kyrgios, on the other side, is competing against Thanasi Kokkinakis, who is his fellow Australian, his best friend, and his doubles partner.
This will be the first time that the pair is on opposing sides of the court at the same time. The matchup is eagerly awaited, and all eyes will be focused on the two competitors’ interaction with one another as they go head to head.
Kyrgios expressed his desire to put on a nice performance while talking about the next match.
He said to Kokkinakis, in reference to the audience, “My brother, let’s give ’em a decent performance.”
