David Beckham chose the Argentine as the best in the Lionel Messi vs. Cristiano Ronaldo debate. He said that the PSG star was on another level, but he also said that other people are chasing the Portuguese and others.
There has been a never-ending debate between Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, and the situation is far from resolved. Footballers have frequently joined in on the arguments that both sets of fans have been having for over a decade.
In 2013, Beckham was one of the headliners to be approached to pick a side and the Manchester Joined legend didn’t conceal his sentiments. He said, siding with Messi:
“While Messi is unquestionably the best player in the world, they share similarities in their technical skills and talent, and it is amazing for football to have them both present. As a player, he [Messi] is the only one of his kind; there can be no one else like him. He is above the rest, as is Cristiano Ronaldo, who is not on his level.
David Beckham will sign Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi:
Inter Miami CF, owned by David Beckham, is keen on signing Lionel Messi. He has been trying to get the Argentine for some time, and when his PSG contract expires this summer, he probably will move.
Beckham stated the following about Messi earlier this season:
“There are many different reasons why I love Leo. Because he is such a good father, I adore him. He has a great personality and character, which is why I love him. He is a wonderful person. But I think the way he plays the game is what everyone loves about him. He plays the game with a lot of energy.
Added he:
“He just plays the game the way he wants to. Additionally, I believe this was the previous World Cup. His performance for his team, for his nation, and winning that World Cup was, in my opinion, an incredible moment for him. Additionally, I enjoy watching players like him.”
Beckham and Cristiano Ronaldo both played for Manchester United and Real Madrid, but they never worked together because Ronaldo, a Portuguese star, came to Real Madrid after Beckham had left those teams.
