The Asia Cup 2022 will be held in Sri Lanka in August-September this year. And this is the second time after 2016 that this tournament will be played in T20 format. Let us tell you that earlier in 2018 the Asia Cup was played in ODI format. Which Team India won under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma.
At the same time, 6 teams will participate in this tournament. Out of which 5 teams (India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan) have qualified for this tournament so far. This year Asia cup is coming with some new rules. Modefication in the rules has been done by MCC to make International cricket more disciplined.

These new rules will come into force from October 2022
Replacement players
The replacements are to be treated as if the player they replaced, inheriting any sanctions or dismissals that the player has done in that match.
Batters returning when Caught
When any batter got Catch out, the new batter will come at the end of the striker always.
Dead ball
If either side of the playing area is disadvantaged by a person, animal, or another thing at the particular ball, then umpires will call it Dead ball.
Bowler throwing towards striker’s end before delivery
If the bowler throws the ball to attempt to run out the striker before entering their delivery stride, it will be Dead ball.
Judging a Wide
Now Wide will apply to where the batter is standing, where the striker has stood at any point since the bowler began their run-up.

If the ball land away from the pitch new rule allows the batter to hit it if it is possible.
Unfair movement by the fielding side
Now batting side will award 5 runs from the fielding side.
moving the running out of the non-striker
The rule remained the same. bowler has the right to out the batter if it is applicable.
No saliva
The new rules will not permit the use of saliva on the ball.
Team India is the most successful team in Asia Cup history. Since this tournament was organized for the first time in 1984, India has won the title seven times. Indian team has been champion in 1984, 1988, 1990-91, 1995, 2010, 2016, and 2018.
