The Texas Super Kings (TSK) defeated the MI New York (MINY) by 17 runs on Tuesday at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas thanks in large part to two important wickets taken by Mohammad Mohsin.
Rusty Theron gave the Super Kings a strong start by dismissing Monank Patel in the second over while holding the opposition to 154 runs. To keep the group in the lead throughout the run chase, Steve Taylor and Nicholas Pooran formed two key partnerships with Shayan Jahangir.
As soon as it seemed like Jahangir would win the match, Mohsin struck a superb googly to trick the batter into taking on the leg-spinner.
Devon Conway took care of the rest, making it a straightforward stumping.
In the subsequent delivery, Mohsin struck again by ejecting MINY captain Kieron Pollard, giving his team the upper hand. Pollard didn’t pick the googly since it was another one from the leg-spinner. In an attempt to defend it, he stretched forward but failed totally. The umpire made an easy choice after the ball hit his pad.
