After being left out of the Indian T20I team for the tour of the West Indies and the Asian Games. Prithvi Shaw Tweets has subtly messaged the selectors. The right-handed batter uploaded a video of himself practicing his swing when it was pouring fiercely outside.
Shaw was restored to the team for the home series against New Zealand earlier this year after playing the only T20I match of his career for India against Sri Lanka in 2021.
The opener was benched for the away series against West Indies since he was not given a game in that series.
While Prithvi Shaw’s season with the Delhi Capitals in IPL 2023 was not particularly noteworthy. He did score the game-winning half-century against the Punjab Kings in the tournament’s last round.
Prithvi Shaw tweets was left out of the squad, but the BCCI did not explain why.
Prithvi Shaw discussed a variety of aspects of his life and career in a recent interview with Cricbuzz and Wisden. Including being passed over by the selection committee.
“The former captain of the India U-19 team admitted that no one from the BCCI told him why he was let go. Later on, he was informed that his physical condition might have been an issue.”
“I’m disappointed, but you just have to keep moving forward. He continued after being denied a chance to play in the West Indies once more.”
Shaw most recently participated in the Duleep Trophy for West Zone. In the championship game versus South Zone, he hit a half-century, but the result of his performance was a defeat.
