MI vs KKR Commentary
The 2023 edition of the Indian T20 League is in full swing and in match number 22, it will be a clash between two rivals, one from the western part of India and the other from the eastern part. It is Mumbai taking on Kolkata at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and it sure is set up to be a high-octane clash.
Mumbai are currently pretty low in the points table but will come into this encounter on the back of a morale-boosting win against Delhi in their last game. Mumbai made a few tweaks to the team and it worked out pretty well for them. The two Aussie quicks, Jason Behrendorff and Riley Meredith starred with the ball and so did an evergreen Piyush Chawla.
A change in the batting was made that saw Cameron Green being pushed down the order and Tilak Varma came in at number three. It was a masterstroke as openers Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan set the tone and then Tilak Varma provided that stability as well. Rohit and Varma went on to score half centuries but the middle order almost made a mess of a simple chase.
Nevertheless, Mumbai were able to get the win and will look to continue the momentum in front of their home fans. Kolkata, on the other hand, have been hit-and-miss so far winning 2 out of their 4 games and come into this clash on the back of a home defeat against Hyderabad.
