VVS Laxman is expected to coach India in Ireland
India will also sent a squad to Ireland for two Twenty20 Internationals on June 26 and 28. Likewise, India will play a rescheduled Test in England after it was postponed last year because of a Covid-19 outbreak in the India camp.
Following the Test from July 1 to 5, India will play three Twenty20 Internationals and three One-Day Internationals versus England.
VVS Laxman, the director of the National Cricket Academy, will be in charge of mentoring the Indian squad for the two matches in Ireland.
It is unclear whether players will be included in the two tours since numerous cricketers who play all three forms will also be in England for a four-day match against Leicester from June 24-27.
The team for the South Africa T20I series at home (June 9–19) and the tour of Ireland and England is expected to be announced coming weeks.
The team members who play TEST marches are expected to be spared for the T20I series, since the Indian Test team may travel for the United Kingdom on June 15 to prepare for the one-off Test, that concludes the 5-Test series over last year. The series was 2-1 when the last Test at Manchester was called off because to Covid-19 concerns in the India camp.
Interestingly, the BCCI declared two separate teams, including one white-ball and another for Test, last year, and the constrained tour of Sri Lanka occurred as India’s Test specialists were preparing for the five-match series in England.
