The auction details for season 8 are out now and the teams and owners of the teams are all gearing up for the auction. The action will be starting on Dec 22, 2021–Jan 20, 2022. The auction will be conducted in Mumbai by Mashal Sports. There is going to be the participation of 500+ players and 12 franchisees.

Vivo Pro Kabbadi League Auction Details
The arrival of the auction for season 8 is officially announced by Mashal Sports. The dates for the auction will be Dec 22, 2021.
The auctions will be taking place for the game after a gap of two years. The players participating in the auction will be Domestic, New Young Players, and Overseas. These players will be divided into 4 groups. These groups are named as categories. There is furthermore sub-division of the categories as All-Rounders, Defenders, Raiders.
Base Price of Categories
- Category A: Rs. 30 Lakhs
- Category B: Rs. 20 Lakhs
- Category C: Rs. 10 Lakhs
- Category D: Rs. 6 Lakhs
Season 8 will be seeing huge participation of the players from seasons 6 & 7 and from the top 8 ranked teams of the AKFI Senior Men’s National Kabaddi Championships 2020 & 2021.
There are 12 participating teams that will have an option to retain their players in the league. Every team can retain up to 6 players under the policy name Elite Retained Players. Under the category of New Young Players, 6 players can be retained.
