In the final session of play on Day 4 of the ongoing Test in Chattogram, India’s veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin dismisses debutant Zakir Hasan after making his maiden Test hundred. India’s Virat Kohli makes an excellent catch as Ashwin sends Hasan back. Up until the time he was kicked out, the young opener’s defense displayed excellent application and appeared fairly solid.
Rather than pitching and straightening the ball, Ashwin used the round-the-wicket angle against the left-hander. As he was defending, Zakir Hasan received an inside edge that hit his pads and lobbed in front of Virat Kohli at first slip, leaving him unable to completely cover the line.
The former Indian captain did a great job of diving to make the catch when the ball almost went out of play in front of him. Knowing that a set batter had been struck out for the visitors, Ravichandran Ashwin was overjoyed. A video of the firing is shown below
India is on the brink of a win after a gripping Day 4 :
Many anticipated that the guests should wrap things up rapidly on Day 4, yet that wasn’t to be as the Bangladesh players at long last showed some spine with an excellent second-innings batting execution. Openers Najmul Hossain Shanto and Zakir Hasan performed admirably in the first session despite finishing late on Day 3.
The Indian bowlers responded strongly in the subsequent two sessions, taking six wickets by the end of the day. Even though Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan are still at the crease, KL Rahul and co. will be hoping to win as soon as possible on Day 5 because the hosts only need another 241 runs to win miraculously.
