On Wednesday, the most recent ICC ODI rankings were released, and former India captain Virat Kohli moved up two spots to fifth place. He scored 283 runs and two centuries against Sri Lanka in three matches.
Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen are currently in second and third place, respectively, with 759 and 766 points. Kohli wants to get them caught. Pakistan captain Babar Azam maintains first place with 887 points.
Kohli has a chance to make up ground in the three-match One-Day International series against New Zealand.

With a career-high rating of 685 points, Siraj was able to get within striking distance of the leaders, Trent Boult (730) and Josh Hazlewood (727).
Due to his five wickets in just two matches against Sri Lanka, left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav moved up seven spots to 21st place in the most recent rankings for bowlers.
