On Thursday it was all set for Zimbabwe to clash with Pakistan in the T20I cricket world cup 2022. Zimbabwe won the toss and opt to bat first. In the very first innings, Zimbabwe registered a score of 130 runs. Pakistan had to face the target of 131 runs to win the match.
The condition for Pakistan is like if they lose the match against Zimbabwe they will be out for the race semifinals in the T20I world cup 2022. According to the decorum of the game, if a team lost two matches then, they will be out of the race to play in the semifinals. Earlier it was already known that Pakistan had lost the match against the team blues. In that match, Virat Kohli played a crucial role.
In today’s match, the Pakistan batters Babar Azam and Mohammed Rizwan failed to lead their team to a chase of 131 runs.
The Pakistan captain Babar Azam led Pakistan suffered a stunning decline on 27 October Thursday to going down by one run against Zimbabwe in their second group match in Perth. However, it was seen that their batting performance is not up to the mark. Batters like Shan Masood (44), could rise to the occasion, Babar lost his wicket on a total of 4 runs and Mohammed Rizwan (14) failed to show his strokes. As a result, Pakistan lost against Zimbabwe.
Babar Azam said “Very disappointing performance by our team. We are not up to the mark in the batting. We had played the starting six overs but, Shadab and Shan built a partnership unfortunately Shadab was out and then back-to-back wickets fell, and pressure built on the batting. And we have done.”
“On the bowling side, we haven’t used the good ball for six overs. Later on, we finished well. We will sit together and learn from our mistakes and come back stronger next time.”Babar Azam’s words on the presentation side.
