The anchor called former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir “4 feet – Rajpal Yadav ka bhai” during an interview with the veteran Pakistan pacer, to which the Pakistan pacer responded in a rather shocking way.
The cricket rivalry between India and Pakistan is unlike any other in the world. Due to the political tension between the two sides. It has been more than a decade since the rivals engaged in a bilateral series.
However, the rivalry continues through full-house ICC and Asia Cup matches. Cricketers who participated in bilateral series against one another before 2012 have frequently been asked to recount their encounters.
In a recent YouTube interview, veteran Pakistan cricketer Sohail Khan talked about his duel with Virat Kohli and his encounter with the Indian team during the 2015 World Cup.
However, the anchor made a rather shocking mockery of Gautam Gambhir during the interview. Calling him “4 feet – Rajpal Yadav ka bhai,” the Pakistan pacer responded.
On the “Nadir Ali Podcast” channel on Nadir Ali’s YouTube channel. Sohail talked about Shoaib Akhtar’s impressive four-wicket haul for Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2008 Indian Premier League.
The anchor then abruptly brought Gambhir into the conversation and referred to him as “Karele ka first cousin” in reference to his “bitter” comment about Pakistan.
Nadir made it clear that Gambhir had stated that India should never play Pakistan in a series.
Sohail asked, “He speaks against Pakistan?” after hearing Nadir’s revelations about Gambhir and his statements.
Then, in a shocking reference, Nadir referred to Gambhir as “4 feet ke, Rajpal Yadav ka bhai.” Sohail didn’t seem to be bothered by Nadir’s words; rather. He insisted on changing the subject because the anchor kept praising Gambhir.
Nadir probably misquoted Gambhir’s statement from 2018, prior to the Asia Cup. “If you want to ban someone from playing, you should ban them from playing every form of cricket. Whether it’s the Asia Cup or ICC events.”
This statement was made in front of the Asia Cup. In sports, you can’t have conditional bans. You cannot say that we will not participate in the bilateral series.
However, we are unable to influence ICC events or the Asia Cup. Why don’t you also play the bilateral series if you want to play Pakistan in the Asia Cup?
Don’t play Pakistan in the Asia Cup or ICC events if you don’t want to play them in the bilateral series. The BCCI and the government need to make that choice.”
Gambhir admitted that the entire decision rests with the government. Despite the recent dispute between BCCI and PCB over Pakistan’s Asia Cup hosting rights.
