Within months of Texas and Oklahoma leaving the Pc-12, the world of College sports is now going to witness another move that nobody anticipated. Colleges play in 5 big football leagues namely PAC-12, and Big Ten SEC.

The Big Ten is now the biggest conference of college sports
The result of UCLA and USC entering into the Big ten led to its expansion to a 16-team super league. Now officially the Big Ten has accepted the membership of the two most prestigious colleges making it the biggest conference out of College football’s Power 5 – the Pac-12, SEC- Southeastern Conference, the Big Ten, ACC, and Big 12. UCLA and USC are colleges of high reputation, they have been part of college premier conferences for a long time. Moreover, both the schools are the most decorated athletically and have a part in the largest media market. This move of UCLA and USC to shift will impact the Pac-12.
As per the CBC reports, USC athletic director Mike Bohn in an interaction says ” Big Ten is ultimately the best home for USC and Trojan athletics. We are excited to be part of the big ten and align values with the member institutions. The athletic Caliber of Big ten institutions- exposure, visibility, and resources will benefit us from strength and stability.
UCLA chancellor Gene D. Block says we have decided to leave the Pac-12 conference and join the Big Ten after a lot of thoughtful celebrations and considerations.
UCLA and USC will now be part of the Big Ten for season 2024-25. On Wednesday, athletic directors and the Big ten president met to decide about adding USC and UCLA to the league conference.
Pac-12 Shows disappointment
Minutes after the reports were out that USC and UCLA are going to Big Ten, the official handle of the Pac-12 on Twitter posted a statement. The Pac-12 in a statement said” we are surprised and disappointed” but said they will continue to work for the benefit of its members and develop new programs. They look forward to new and existing partnerships in the league.
While the official handles of UCLA athletics and USC Trojan posted about their new membership in the Big Ten. Many experts and fans have been reacting to the news, some are surprised and some are disappointed like the Pac-12.
