Kane Williamson’s magnificent run continued as he scored his 32nd Test century on Day 4 (Friday, February 16) of the ongoing second Test against South Africa at Hamilton’s Seddon Park.
With this strike, Williamson tied Australian batsman Steve Smith’s record of 32 Test centuries.
The former New Zealand captain accomplished the record in just 172 innings, becoming him the fastest man to do so.
The 33-year-old reached 100 runs with a single off Shaun van Berg’s bowling in the 74th over of his team’s second innings.
He stayed unbeaten on 133 as the Black Caps cruised to a seven-wicket win. Several fans flocked to social media to praise Williamson for his fantastic batting performance.
It’s worth noting that Kane Williamson scored his sixth century in the past seven Tests. He scored the most runs in the two-match Test series against South Africa.
