On Wednesday, January 31, the ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup featured three matches: Bangladesh U19 vs Nepal U19, Australia U19 vs England U19, and South Africa U19 vs Zimbabwe U19.
Bangladesh easily defeated Nepal by five wickets while chasing a goal of 170 runs. Australia successfully defended a total of 266 runs in their Super Six victory over England.
The other match in the same group saw Zimbabwe crumble against South Africa, with the Proteas seizing the lead and winning by nine wickets.
In Group 1 of the Super Six stage, India U19 has dominated with a flawless record, collecting six points from three games and an amazing net run rate of +3.327 to lead the table.
Pakistan’s U19 team is close behind, unbeaten with three victories in three games and a modest NRR of +1.064.
Bangladesh U19 advanced to third place after beating Nepal, with four points from three games and an NRR of +0.348.
Further down, New Zealand U19’s lone victory earned them two points and a -1.915 NRR, putting them ahead of Nepal U19 and Ireland U19, who are still winless after three games.

South Africa U19 jumped ahead of the West Indies U19 to secure second position, with an NRR of +1.479.
The Windies are right behind, with four points from three games and an NRR of +0.134.
Sri Lanka U19 and England U19 are fourth and fifth. With two points apiece after three matches, separated by England’s slightly lower -1.241 NRR.
Zimbabwe U19 are at the bottom with an appalling -4.016 NRR and have failed to win a game.

Weibgen and Vidler excel for Australia U19 as they defeat England U19 by a comfortable 110 runs
Batting first after losing the toss, Nepal U19 failed to get going. And were bowled out for 169 in 49.5 overs against Bangladesh U19.
Rohanat Doullah Borson was Bangladesh’s wrecker-in-chief, with impressive figures of 4/19 from 8.5 overs to limit Nepal’s batsmen. Bangladesh reached the target in 25.2 overs, with five wickets to spare.
England U19 won the toss and decided to field against Australia U19.
Hugh Wibgen, the Australian captain, hit a stunning 120 off just 126 balls, blasting 15 boundaries throughout his excellent performance.
