Event Head of ICC give a statement on f U-19 World Cup 2022

In the ICC U-19 Cricket World Cup, when 9 players of Canada’s team were found positive in the Covid 19 Test, ICC Event Head Chris Tetley said on the whole matter that
“We are completely disappointed to see the cancellation of two matches at this stage due to COVID-19. We were expecting to see some COVID positive cases throughout the event and to date, these have been managed as per our biosafety plan without impacting the program. However, it will not be possible to organize these matches with so many players of the Canadian team coming to Kovid 19 positive. The players are now in self-isolation and will receive full support from the event medical team under the guidance of the Bio-Safety Advisory Group
