According to reports, Liverpool and Manchester City are keeping an eye on Gavi’s contract situation with the intention of signing him before the summer transfer window opens. Over the past two seasons, Gavi, 18, has established himself as one of the world’s best prospects.
He has firmly established himself in Xavi Hernandez’s first-team setup ever since he made his professional debut in August 2021. Gavi is a press-resistant central defender with passing and flair who has helped his childhood club win the Supercopa de Espana and the La Liga title this season.
In 36 appearances across all competitions, he has so far contributed five assists and scored two goals.
