The protesting wrestlers have set up two panels with 31 members each to plan their next move. The day after the Supreme Court denied their petition and told them to go to lower courts.
The protesting wrestlers set up two committees to figure out what they should do. Wrestler Bajrang Punia disclosed on Friday that the second committee has nine members while the first committee has 31 members.
The objective of both committees is to choose a plan of action. The 31-member committee includes representatives from all of the organizations that are supporting our campaign, including khap panchayats, farmer organizations, labor groups, and student and women’s groups.
The nine-member group will make decisions regarding our wrestling issues. On the twelfth day of the sit-in, the bronze medallist from the Tokyo Olympics said, “We will disclose more details on Saturday.”
We are prepared to begin our uprising right away. Depending on the advice we receive from our legal team, we are prepared to approach either the high court or the magistrate court.
We won’t relinquish our fight until Brij Bhushan is apprehended, even though it will take a while. That has been our main interest since we stayed here,” Punia said.
A number of khaps are anticipated to visit Jantar Mantar on Sunday to show their support for the protesters. They will likewise hold a ‘panchayat’ at the dissent site.
Anurag Thakur, the minister of sports, stated earlier in the day that the government had met the demands of wrestlers.
“All things considered, I might want to say we vowed to lead fair races and IOA will direct that,” Thakur said in Lucknow.
“We fulfilled our promise to form a committee. The Delhi Police have also filed an FIR, which was required. They needed a fair preliminary and Delhi Police is on it. The decision has also been announced by the Supreme Court.”
Punia requested Thakur to be “truthful and impartial” in response to his remarks.
In the meantime, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh, the current president of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), expressed gratitude to the Supreme Court for dismissing the petition filed against him.
“I have confidence in the High Court.
Lord Hanuman is a god to me. At the point when I cause problems, ruler Hanuman safeguards me and turns into my friend in need,” said Singh.
