TPL Talent Days Kick-Off In Style In Hyderabad: A fast-paced and innovative league has already helped popularize tennis in India. The Tennis Premier League, which starts on December 7th and goes on until December 11th, is now holding Talent Days to help different areas for the 2020 Olympics.
Poised against the backdrop of India’s famous Nandan Stadium, Hyderabad Rams and Hyderabad Tennis Academy hosted a tennis tournament to showcase budding talent.
The Tennis Premier League uses Talent Days to give the selected players opportunities to play against other players and learn from top international players and coaches. The initiative also provides for a chance for Indian tennis players to compete at a higher level of the game.
The owner of the Hyderabad Strikes and Chennai Stallions was present at the event. The Chairman of Sports Authority of Telangana State attended the event, as well. There were co-founders for Tennis Premier League which attended the Talent Days event.
Raheen Taranum is the winner of the Girls U-18 category. In a tiebreak against Sama Chevika, Raheen won 10-2. Raheen put in a good performance to come away as the winner. She will represent Finecab Hyderabad Strikers in season 4 of The Tennis Premier League.
Nandan Bal, a mentor for the Chennai Stallions was impressed with Talent Day because it gives young players the opportunity to learn from the best and compete. He was also impressed by the energy all the players brought to their game during The Talent Days initiative. Hyderabad has always been a hub of tennis in India and this day reminded us of that fact.
“It was great to be back in Hyderabad where my tennis career began,” says Top All India Tennis Association player, Vishnu Vardhan. The event is all about young players trying out a new sport and socializing with each other.
According to “ANI”, today’s players reminded participants of their experience when they were younger. Participants believe that the event is a great opportunity for the youth in attendance to learn from elite players and coaches.
