Tottenham Hotspur signed seasoned Croatia international Ivan Perisic on a free transfer on Tuesday, bolstering its roster before of a comeback to the Champions League.

The dynamic 33-year-old, whose deal with Inter Milan ended at the conclusion of the campaign, has announced a new agreement with the Premier League team.
Perisic is manager Antonio Conte’s first significant close-season addition as the north London club prepares for a comeback to Europe’s elite after finishing fourth in the Premier League.
“I’m incredibly delighted to begin with the Spurs family,” Perisic said on the club’s official website. I’ve longed to play in the Premier League since 2009, when I began my successful growth in Belgium, and I absolutely cannot wait.”
Perisic will be reunited with Conte, under whom he played when Inter won the Series A title in 2020-21.
“I’m excited to meet him again.” He loves soccer every moment, hour, and day; even when he sleeps, I believe he is thinking about football. I appreciate his personality and am confident he will do well here.”
Perisic plays as a left winger or up forward, signed Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and won the league as well as the German Cup during his first year.
He re-joined Inter in 2015 after playing and over 200 Series A matches for VfL Wolfsburg, where he scored 49 points.
He spent the 2019-20 season on loan with Bayern Munich, where he earned the Bundesliga, Champions League, and German Cup. Perisic won the Serie A title after rejoining Inter under Conte, and he also helped the team win the Coppa Italia this year.
Perisic will be well-known to English fans after scoring the equaliser for Croatia in the 2018 World Cup semi-final, which England lost 2-1 following additional time.
He also bagged in Croatia’s final loss to France.
Perisic holds 113 Croatian caps and 32 goals to his name.
