Opening batsman Tony de Zorzi (20) of the Durban Super Giants left early in the innings.
Quinton de Kock’s bad run continued as he scored a golden duck.
Matthew Breetzke’s strong form continued as he scored 48 runs off 46 balls, including three fours and two sixes.
Wiaan Mulder’s 38* off 20, which included six fours, and JJ Smuts (26) helped the side to 157/6 in 20 overs.
Thomas Kaber and George Linde each took two wickets for MI Cape Town in the first innings.
In response, MI Cape Town’s batsmen stumbled, falling to 121/9 in 20 overs.
Sam Curran (38) and Dewald Brevis (21) were the leading scorers.
However, other hitters failed to make an impression in the middle overs.
Noor Ahmad and Marcus Stoinis each took three wickets, while Naveen ul Haq claimed two and Keshav Maharaj one.

David Miller (162), Jordan Hermann (154), Leus du Plooy (153), and Mitchell Van Buuren (144) remain ranked seventh, eighth, ninth, and tenth, respectively.
SA20 2024: Most Wickets List
Paarl Royals pacer Lungi Ngidi leads the bowling rankings with 10 wickets in five innings.
Lizaad Williams (9) remains ranked second. Ottneil Baartman remained third with eight wickets at 16.
Reece Topley (8 wickets) and Daniel Worrall (7) improved to fourth and fifth places at 22.25 and 18.42, respectively.
Keshav Maharaj (7) advanced from ninth to sixth place, averaging 21.42.
Thomas Kaber advanced from 15th to seventh place, raking up six scalps at 13.16.
Marcus Stoinis jumped from 23rd to ninth place, taking six wickets at 13.5.
Tabraiz Shamsi (6) and Obed McCoy (6) dropped three spots each to finish ninth and tenth, at 22 and 22.66, respectively.
