Chennai’s pacer, Tushar Deshpande picked up three wickets in what was his fifth match of this season of IPL. With this performance, he climbed up to the fifth position in IPL 2023 Purple Cap race, with a total of ten wickets to his name.
4. Mohammad Shami
Gujarat Titans’ premier pacer has bagged 10 wickets in five matches and currently occupies fourth place in the points table. One of the best India seam bowlers available, Mohammad Shami was bought by Gujarat Titans for INR 6.25 crore at the IPL 2022 Mega Auction.
Mohammed Shami revived his limited-overs career with some stellar performances in India colours in recent months and was picked up by Punjab Kings for a hefty price tag of INR 4.8 crore at the 2019 Player Auction Shami was leading the PBKS pace attack .
He has the skills to be effective both at the start of the innings and also in the death overs. Shami’s progress has been terrific and he is now a complete bowler and batsmen will need to be wary against him
3. Rashid khan
Rashid Khan took two more wickets in the match against Rajasthan, and he is breathing down Chahal’s neck from the second place – with 11 wickets. Mark Wood trails behind in the third position, with 11 wickets to his name as well.
Ravi Bishnoi and Mohammed Shami, with eight wickets each, occupies fourth and fifth positions respectively. Shami took three wickets in the match against Rajasthan.
