5. Alzarri Joseph: 6 wickets for 12 runs (Mumbai vs. Hyderabad, 2019)
This is considered a remarkable performance because it was Joseph’s first game in the competition, and Mumbai were defending a total of just 137 runs. He dismissed David Warner and Vijay Shankar in the first two overs. In his third over, Joseph got Deepak Hooda and Rashid Khan out. In his final over, he removed Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Siddharth Kaul to register the best figures in the IPL tournament’s history.
4. Sohail Tanvir: 6 wickets for 14 runs (Rajasthan vs. Chennai, 2008)
Although Sohail Tanvir played only the inaugural edition of the Indian T20 League, he made his mark in the tournament. Playing for the eventual champions Rajasthan, Tanvir took 6 wickets by giving away just 12 runs against Chennai at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur. He won the Purple Cap in 2008, grabbing 22 wickets in 11 matches, and held the best bowling record for 11 years.
3. Adam Zampa: 6 wickets for 19 runs (Pune vs. Hyderabad, 2016)
On 10th May 2016, Adam Zampa registered the third and final 6-wicket haul in Indian T20 League history. Playing for Pune against Hyderabad, he took 6 wickets, conceding just 19 runs. Zampa is the only spinner to take a 6-wicket haul in the Indian T20 League. Despite his brilliant bowling, Pune couldn’t chase the target of 138 and lost by 4 runs.
2. Anil Kumble: 5 wickets for 5 runs (Bangalore vs. Rajasthan, 2009)
On 18th April 2009, Anil Kumble, India’s highest wicket taker, was at his absolute best against Rajasthan on a damp Newlands surface. The Rajasthan batters failed to tackle Kumble and got all out for just 58 runs. He conceded only 5 runs in 3.1 overs and dismissed Yusuf Pathan, Ravindra Jadeja, Shane Warne, Munaf Patel, and Kamran Khan.

Rookie pacer Akash Madhwal is 5th on the list of best bowling figures in the Indian T20 League. The Mumbai speedster gave away only 5 runs in just 3.3 overs and dismissed Lucknow’s Mankad, Badoni, Pooran, Bishnoi, and Mohsin in the process. His efforts means Mumbai won the match by 81 runs and move to the Qualifier 2.
