Top 10 highest scores in international ODI
Top 10 highest scores in international ODI. International One-Day (ODI) Cricket has been a popular sport for generations, but some of the game’s greatest feats have broken a number of records and shattered a number of long-held beliefs.
In men’s and women’s ODI cricket, there have been eleven double centuries, three of which were scored by India’s Rohit Sharma.
1. Rohit Sharma – 264 (173)
Opening batsman Rohit Sharma, the current Indian captain, is clearly the best in the world after a blistering 264-run performance off 173 deliveries against Sri Lanka. Second double hundred in the format for Sharma, and it came at his favorite Eden Gardens in Kolkata, where he is a regular.
With a 152.60 batting average, he annihilated the Sri Lankan bowling attack with 33 boundaries and nine sixes. In the final over of the innings, Sharma was dismissed by Nuwan Kulasekara.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, this was India’s fourth one-day international against Sri Lanka in 2014 and Virat Kohli’s side won the coin toss. In their first innings, India set a massive 405-run mark. Despite this, Sri Lanka’s total was limited to 251. Dhawal Kulkarni’s four-wicket haul of 34 helped India to a 153-run victory.
2. Martin Guptill – 237* (163)
For much of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2014/15, Martin Guptill was at his best against the West Indies (WI). 237 runs were scored in 163 balls by the opening right-hander, who was never stranded. He smashed 24 fours and 11 sixes in a stunning batting performance. In the following innings, the 29-year-old hammered the WI bowlers with a 145.39 strike rate and remained at the crease.
It was also the fourth quarterfinal of the ICC CWC 2014/15, which was taking place in Wellington, New Zealand. New Zealand set a target of 394 runs and won the game by 143 runs, while the West Indies were bowled out for just 250 runs.

Overall, this is the third-highest score by a female player in women’s ODIs. The right-arm leggie picked up five wickets for 17 runs in his bowling career. For the second wicket alongside New Zealand’s Leigh Kasperek, Kerr also made 295 runs as an all-rounder.
4. Belinda Clark – 229* (155)
There has never been a cricketer, male or female, to score a double century in one-day international cricket. During the 1997 Hero Honda Ladies’ World Cup in Mumbai, Clark scored a hat-trick against the Danish women.

5. Virender Sehwag – 219 (149)

A strike rate of 146.97 was used to score 219 runs off 149 balls as the 33-year-old showed his prime at the time. The 25 fours and seven sixes he hit in his stellar at-bats were incredible! 6. Chris Gayle – 215 (147)

In 156 balls, Zaman scored 210 runs with a batting average of 134.61. A total of 24 fours and five sixes were struck by the 29-year-old during his inning. A mammoth 399 for just one wicket placed Pakistan in command, but Shadab Khan’s 4 for 28 helped Pakistan seal the win with a few balls to spare.
8. Rohit Sharma – 209 (158)
Against Australia’s premier bowling lineup, only Indian opener Rohit Sharma reached the century mark. The seventh one-day international of Australia’s 2013 tour of India was played at Bangalore’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium. An MS Dhoni-led India team batted first after Australia won the coin-flip.
