The 2022–23 Big Bash League season or BBL|12 is the twelfth season of the Big Bash League (BBL), the professional men’s Twenty20 domestic cricket competition in Australia. The round-robin phase of the tournament is scheduled to run from 13 December 2022 to 4 February 2023.
Perth Scorchers are the defending champions, having won their 4th title in the 2021–22 Big Bash League season.[2] The season saw the implementation of the international draft system, and removal of the Bash Boost point and X-Factor from the tournament. The Decision Review System will also be added.
Here the top 10 list of Big Bash League T20 Opening Batsman 2022-23

This big-hitting left-hander made his one-day international debut for the Black Caps in 2013.
He now has two ODI fifties to his name and provides a good batting option for New Zealand.
Munro, who was born in Durban, South Africa, also bowls effective medium-pace, making him a genuine all-rounder for the Black Caps.
8. D’Arcy Short & Matthew Wade
D’Arcy John Matthew Short (born 9 August 1990) is an Australian international cricketer, who plays One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is) for the Australian national team. Finch’s impact as a leader has been immense. Early in 2019 he led the Melbourne Renegades to a maiden BBL title in a famous final with rivals the Stars and, in 2021, led Australia to an inaugural T20 World Cup in the UAE.
Martin Guptill was part of the New Zealand ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup team in 2008 and made his one-day international debut for the Black Caps in early 2009 against the West Indies in fine fashion, scoring 122.
6. Faf du Plessis & Cameron Green.
A half-century on debut against India marked a solid start for the right-hander, who also played seven matches during the 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup, with his best knock of 52 coming against Bangladesh.
Cameron Green has become the latest Australian Test star to commit to the Big Bash this summer after inking a deal to revive his Perth Scorchers career in BBL|12.
5. Josh Philippe & Kurtis Patterson
Joshua Ryan Philippe (born 1 June 1997) is an Australian cricketer who plays as a wicket-keeper batsman. He made his international debut for the Australia cricket team in February 2021. 4. Rilee Rossouw & David Warner
Rilee Rossouw made his one-day international debut against Zimbabwe in August 2014 and had a poor start to say the least, making two consecutive golden ducks.
The left-hander’s career has certainly blossomed since then, scoring two ODI centuries in 2015 and another against Australia in 2016.
Warner then blasted his way to a memorable 180 in the third Test against India in Perth before a blistering century against South Africa in Adelaide the following summer.

Adam Lyth was a lynchpin of Yorkshire’s successful county campaign in 2014, attracting the attention of both England fans and selectors with his skillful and mature batting and thrusting himself into contention for an opener’s spot in the Test team.
