According to Brazilian newspaper O Globo, former Brazil manager Tite was allegedly robbed on a Rio street and yelled at by the burglar over his nation’s World Cup loss.

Tite, who had been in command of the Brazil team since 2016 and had even guided them to Copa America victory three years prior, resigned after their shocking loss to Croatia in the World Cup quarterfinals.
After their loss in Qatar, Brazil, one of the favorites to win the competition, had returned home.
He oversaw the Brazil squad when they won the 2019 Copa America and finished second two years later. However, they were defeated by Belgium or Croatia in the quarterfinals of the World Cups in 2018 and 2022, respectively.
“The cycle finished, and I stated that one and a half years ago, and I stay to my word,” Tite said after Brazil’s World Cup loss. We can’t put on a play. There are other excellent professionals who can take my position. “The cycle has ended.”
Brazil is currently seeking for a replacement for Tite, and after Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti turned them down, they are apparently targeting Roma manager Jose Mourinho.
Tite played for Caxias from 1978 to 1984, then for Esportivo de Bento Gonçalves for a season and for Portuguesa for another. His three seasons with Guarani from 1986 to 1989 were his most successful as a player. He retired at the age of 27 owing to a series of knee problems that led him to lose movement in one of his knees.
Tite managed more than ten clubs in more than 15 spells beginning in 1991. Caxias, his first club, whom he returned to in 1999, won the Campeonato Gacho in 2000, defeating Grêmio, which included Ronaldinho. Tite was hired as Grêmio’s coach in 2001 after winning the Campeonato Gacho and the Copa do Brasil with Caxias.
