Tim David is in the Australia T20 Squad for World Cup2022: T20 World Cup 2022 is all set to take place in October in Australia. The teams have been preparing hard for the same. Currently, Asia Cup 2022 is taking place which is scheduled in T20 Format. To help Asian teams to prepare for the World Cup. England, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand are preparing for their T20.  Recently, Australia announced their T2p Squad for the world cup. Aaron Finch is again declared as captain. What excited critics and fans were Tim David in the T20 Squad. 

The Singapore Powerhouse of batting Tim David received his maiden Australia call.  The country will host the T 20 World Cup and India tour. The 26-year-old known for his batting skills played for Singapore in 2019. Under ICC rules, he is eligible to play for Australia. 

Tim David has made a name for himself in the T20 Format with explosive batting. Born in Singapore to Australian parents have made his presence in the T20 Format. He was bought by Mumbai Indians in IPL for whooping INR 8. 25 crores. 

Selectors view on Tim David 

As per the selectors in a statement, ” Tim David has established himself as a player with exceptional performances in leagues across the world. That led to his selection in the Squad. He is a highly gifted player, a natural ball Striker who will add extra batting depth to the squad. Which has had a lot of success in the T20 format in recent years. We expect him to play a similar role in the square that he was playing in the past few years. 

Later this month, Aaron Finch led 15 member squad will travel to India for 3 T20 International. David Warner is rested for the tour and Cameron green will be the new opener. 

Selector Bailey said ” it is a similar square to which became the first Australian men’s team to win the T20 World Cup. Who are now excited to play the tournament at home”
