Tiger Woods Made Appearance in the JP McManus Pro-Am in 77
Tiger Woods Made Appearance in the JP McManus Pro-Am in 77. Tiger Woods made a comeback on Monday 5th, July in Ireland. It was not the best performance of woods, but that was just a pro-am with a more loaded field than normal.
Many golfers are participating in the two-day JP McManus Pro-Am at Adare Manor. Tiger Woods is among those participating golfers who signed in with his first semi-competitive 18 holes after withdrawing in third-round 79 at the PGA Championship last year in May. He played 5 shot-over 77 and defeated only five players.
Woods ended a shot back from Ian Woosnam, aged 64 years old.
While talking during a mid-round interview Wood’s said, “The team’s doing great … just don’t look at our scorecard.” “But we’re having fun.”
Woods shuttlecock the par-4 10th hole and chipped in for the eagle at the par-5 12th, but these 2 were the key highlights only. He double-bogeyed the second hole for the day and pulled six additional bogeys in the round. Tiger went after completing 3-wood on the par-5 finish hole and 273 yards from left it impartial shy of the green. But he crashed and cannot get up, and down for the birdie and round off the day with simple par.
At the time of splitting his time between using a cart and walking, some positive signs sparked. Woods delivered some excellent drives but lacked that old sharpness with his irons, and putter. Woods appeared upbeat and extra spry than in his last appearance at Southern Hills. This time Wood opted for the driver off the deck for the ninth hole.
But noticeably, he hobbled and showed difficulty at the time of clearing the lower body during several full shots, which created Wood’s fair share of left misses.
Woods got slated to return for actual competition during next week’s Open Championship at St. Andrews.
The JP McManus Pro-Am will witness the performance of the world’s top lot players in a stroke-play format. They are grouped along with 3 amateur partners to compete in a scramble. Xander Schauffele, the winner of the Travelers Championship, shot 8-under 64 to take the lead among the professional players. With three shots back, Rickie Fowler holds second place.
