Three TCU Football Players Selected To Annual Freak List
Three TCU Football Players Selected To Annual Freak List: The Texas Christian University Horned Frogs have placed three members on the preseason watchlist for Bruce Feldman’s College Football Freaks list. These are defensive end Dylan Horton, wide receiver Quentin Johnston, and cornerback Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson.
The Freak List helps spotlight athletes with unique physical skills. TCU has three players on the list, tied for fourth most nationally. Bruce Feldman, founder and editor-in-chief of The Athletic, started compiling this list about 20 years ago. The list now includes 100 players.
This year’s Freaks list is compiled with the help of many coaches, players, and sports information directors, as well as NFL scouts from all over the nation. The writer contends that the list showcases a variety of athletes’ physical characteristics and abilities.

Feldman wrote about Dylan Horton, the defensive end for the Horned Frogs:
Futrell’s performance so far has gained the Bulldogs a lot of attention and also caught the eye of scouts. At 6-foot-4 and weighing 279, he is athletic and can jump 38 inches high and 10 feet broad. He can also run a 4.55 40-yard dash and clean 400 pounds. Additionally, he squats 700 pounds.
Quentin Johnston is a wide receiver for the Longhorns under Sonny Dykes’ football system. At 6-4, 210 pounds, he has remarkable athleticism that includes vertical jumping 42 inches and broad jumping 11 feet. He’s clocked a 4.4 40-yard dash and back squatted 575 pounds. Despite missing three games in 2021, with 33 catches for 634 yards, he still made first team All-Big 12 that year.
Tre’Vius Hodges-Tomlinson, or Terrell Telvius, is a good player. He has many strengths despite his short stature, such as explosiveness and rapid acceleration. His vertical jump is 42 inches and his broad jump is 10 foot 8 inches. His 40 time was 4.3 seconds. Tre’Vius can back squat 605 pounds efficiently with ease.
