The Team India roster for the first two Tests of the forthcoming five-match series against England was revealed earlier this month. The first matches will take place in Visakhapatnam and Hyderabad, respectively. Three reasons why India’s decision to include Dhruv Jurel in the England Tests team was the right one.
The team selection was mainly by expectations. The selection of the uncapped Dhruv Jurel, who has made his debut for the national team, may have been the only one that caught attention.
Only two players in the team lack international experience: Avesh Khan and Jurel. Although the keeper-batter may not be selected for the starting lineup right away, there are several good reasons to include him.

Three reasons why India’s decision to include Dhruv Jurel in the England Tests team was the right one
- With the 22-year-old Jurel, India has a talent they can develop over time. The right-hander will always have the ability to come in and learn from the players in and around the side. Even if he is simply Pant’s understudy until the latter returns. After asking for a sabbatical, Ishan Kishan was not selected by the selectors, and KL Rahul and KS Bharat are both over 30. India might use a youthful wicket-keeper such as Jurel in Test cricket.
- India’s keeper Rahul dropped a crucial catch in the second Test. He is a specialist gloveman’s best option for spinners in South Africa. KS Bharat, despite being tidy behind the stumps, lacks confidence with the bat and is not at the same level as Saha. India sought a third option, Jurel, who has potential as a great player despite his inexperience.
- Roman Reigns was scheduled to sign his Fatal Four-Way Match contract at Royal Rumble on WWE SmackDown. Despite being present, he did not attend, while opponents AJ Styles, LA Knight, and Randy Orton were preparing. The SmackDown General Manager interrupted the signing, stating Roman Reigns’ dismissal of the match. Orton faced Solo Sikoa in the main event, and after a Superman Punch, Orton signed the contract, taunting Nick Aldis.
