In a low-scoring match at Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium, the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by 18 runs. Accordingly, RCB moved to the fifth spot while LSG are set third in the focuses Table.
On a sluggish wicket in Lucknow, RCB batted first and posted a competitive total of 126/9 in their 20 overs. Faf Du Plessis (44 runs off 40 balls) and Virat Kohli (31 runs off 30 balls) led the RCB batting effort. On a day when the ball was turning square to the pitch, both of these players played knocks that were extremely valuable. Dinesh Karthik (16 runs off 11 balls), too played a significant appearance to take LSG to a score more than 120.
In response, all of RCB’s bowlers were on fire, and LSG kept dropping wickets frequently. It would be almost impossible to pick a particular RCB bowler because they were all simply outstanding. The awful LSG batting exertion can be represented by the way that Amit Mishra (19 runs off 30 balls) needed to in a real sense endure 25% of the innings’ balls. With everything taken into account, it was a much needed development to see a T20 game where the bowlers ruled.
