After losing the first two ODIs to lose the series, Team India won the third ODI against Bangladesh in Chattogram on December 10 as a consolation victory.
With a stunning double hundred, Ishan Kishan set the tone, and Virat Kohli contributed with his first ODI century since August 2019. Each of the six bowlers made nice commitments, as well as the Men in Blue, crushed the hosts by a record 227 runs.
Others, on the other hand, didn’t deliver. In light of this, the following is a list of three Indian players who performed poorly in the third One-Day International against Bangladesh.
#3 KL Rahul
India’s stand-in skipper, KL Rahul, had a good game in Chattogram as his team won big, but he didn’t do much with the bat for the second game in a row.
At the loss of Shreyas Iyer’s wicket in the 39th over, KL Rahul entered the game to bat. In the remaining ten overs of the innings, he had the chance to have some fun in the middle. But Ebadot Hossain threw him off guard when he hit him in the body early in his innings.
Rahul responded with a pull to the midwicket boundary, but the bowler won the game. India’s No. 1 was castled by a fiery yorker that Ebadot sent down. 5 as he struck out the batter twice throughout the series.
#2 Shreyas Iyer
Shreyas Iyer had a far and away superior stage than Rahul to expand on. The predictable player wound up in the center with the score perusing 305/2 and had a set Virat Kohli for the organization.
But Shreyas had to deal with a hard six-ball stay. He was immediately attacked by the Bangladesh bowlers, and he uncomfortably negotiated a few deliveries before deciding to accelerate.
Shreyas attempted to loft Ebadot over cover, but he was unable to get under the ball and only managed to catch Litton Das, the captain of Bangladesh. He returned disappointed for 3, missing an opportunity to improve on his excellent recent ODI record.
#1 Shikhar Dhawan
Unlike Shreyas, Shikhar Dhawan’s dismissal was not justified by his circumstances. The southpaw would kick himself for having passed up a sublime and open door to quiet a portion of his faultfinders with a major thump on what was a wonderful contribution to bat on Chattogram.
The third umpire ruled pad first after Dhawan was trapped in front by Mehidy Hasan Miraz off the first ball of the fifth over. The veteran batter had to watch from the dugout as Kishan and Kohli had a good time as the result of his third series single-digit score.
It’s possible that Dhawan finished in last place among openers Shubman Gill, Ruturaj Gaikwad, and Kishan. It is not unreasonable to assert that there is a possibility that he will not play international cricket for India again.
