Three angles players will not be playing amid covid restrictions
Three angles players will not be playing amid covid restrictions: The Angels were going to start their 3 Game series with the Blue Jays in Toronto. Now the series will begin without three players who were initially playing with the team in Tampa Bay.
Relievers Ryan Tepera and Aaron Loup along with right fielder Taylor Ward were restricted. They were added to the restricted list on Friday just before the game against the Blue jays. They were not with the team in Toronto with coach Jeremy Reed, the team confirmed.
As per the interim Angels manager Phil Nevin on Friday said ” when we were coming in, we knew we were and weren’t going to be here.” ” I’m just taking it as an opportunity for some of the boys, maybe that we wouldn’t have approached.”
The players added to the restricted list
As per the Kuwait 19 restrictions in Canada individuals who are not fully vaccinated against covid-19 have to complete mandatory 14-day Quarantine before entering Canada. The MLB players were unable to meet the eligibility criteria. So they were typically added to the team’s restricted list of players before they played in Toronto. In response to the news, the Angels recalled right-handed Pitcher José Marte, Gerardo Reyes, and outfielder Ryan Aguilar.
