Veteran Australian opener David Warner has revealed plans to publish a book shortly, implying jokingly that it will be up to 2000 pages long.
The swashbuckling left-handed hitter also indicated that his novel would be full of exciting twists and turns, which raised eyebrows.

He has also been a divisive character and is noted for his bravado on the pitch.
The New South Welshman has been entangled in several issues, none more so than the ball-tampering scandal at Newlands in Cape Town.
The explosive opener revealed his book to Adam Gilchrist and Michael Vaughan on their Prairie Club Fire podcast:
There is undoubtedly a book in the works, and I believe it will be an intriguing read.
There will be several stuff in that book that I believe will raise some eyebrows.
David Warner – I’ll have to go back and update a couple of chapters now.
Several new ones have been added. It used to be 1500 pages; now it’s probably 2000.
Cricket Australia discovered that the left-hander was the brains behind the Newlands incident, urging Cameron Bancroft to sandpaper the ball.
With then-captain Steve Smith failing to intervene, he and David Warner were given one-year bans
from top-level cricket, while Bancroft was given a nine-month suspension.
The Australian cricket squad must be in good shape – David Warner
The veteran went on to say that he doesn’t want to write anything that would upset the team’s harmony:
It’s something that has been considered (discussing Newlands in the book), and there has been a lot of conjecture and discussion about it.
It’s critical that the Australian cricket team is in good shape, and that we’re performing well in all three forms, and that’s my first objective.
It is unclear who will take his position for Australia’s upcoming Test series. – David Warner
