A defender or a tackler is not given importance compared to a raider in Kabaddi. But a defender has an important part to play. Tackling a raider and not allowing him to escape to the midline amounts to one tackle point in Kabaddi.

Manjeet Chhillar

Tamil Thalaivas star player is the tackler Manjeet Chhillar. Chillar is at the top spot in the list of best defenders in the Pro Kabaddi League. This veteran kabaddi player has knocked 339 points. The all-rounder played for different teams in this league. His final destination came to Thalaivas in 2018.

Ravinder Pahal

Dabang Delhi K.C. has acquired the best defender called Ravinder Pahal. Pahal has so far secured 326 tackle points in Pro Kabaddi League. Ravinder becomes the second-highest in this league. He began his Pro Kabaddi career in Delhi. He became a part of Puneri Paltan and Bengaluru Bulls in the seasons. In 2018, he finally returned to the Delhi-based franchise.

Fazel Atrachali

Fazel Atrachali from Iran is the best overseas defender in the history of Pro Kabaddi. He has slammed 317 points. He sits with the third-most tackle points in PKL. Atrachali is playing for U Mumba. E is famous for his ability to dash the Opposition’s raiders. Moreover, he is the only foreign defender to find a place on this list.

Sandeep Narwal

Ace all-rounder Sandeep Narwal of U Mumba deserves to be among the best tacklers of all time. Narwal began his PKL journey with Patna Pirates in the first season. He soon reserved his place in the group of most successful all-rounders at the end of the tournament.

PO Surjeet Singh

With 278 points, PO Surjeet Singh of Puneri Paltan reserves the fifth position in the list of top tacklers in Pro Kabaddi. Surjeet became a member of U Mumba in 2016. Singh then moved to Bengal Warriors for the next couple of seasons. He is the master of blocking or dashing raiders.

Mohit Chhillar

Mohit Chhillar of Tamil Thalivas stands in the sixth position. He accumulated a good score of tackle points. Chhillar became a member of U Mumba in 2014. He then became a part of Bengaluru Bulls, Haryana Steelers, and Jaipur Pink Panthers. He finally moved to the Thalaivas team in the last season.

Girish Maruti Ernak

Girish Maruti Ernak is the seventh-highest defender. He stands with the most tackle points in PKL. Ernak began his Pro Kabaddi journey with Patna Pirates in season one. He then became a member of Puneri Paltan in season five.

Dharmaraj Cheralathan

With 259 points, Dharmaraj Cheralathan secured the highest tackle points for Haryana Steelers. Dharamraj is a veteran defender. He had  been around this sport for the last two decades. Before Steelers, he tried his hands with teams like U Mumba, Puneri Paltan, and Bengaluru Bulls.

Amit Hooda

Jaipur Pink Panthers’ top defender Amit Hooda has 237 tackle points in his pockets. He achieved this score in 88 matches. Before the Pink Panthers, Hooda was playing with Patna Pirates. He, later, became a part of Tamil Thalaivas. He is also the only player from the Jaipur-based franchise to reserve a place on the list.

Ran Singh

Tamil Thalaivas’ all-rounder Ran Singh booked the tenth spot on the list. He has secured 234 points. Singh has become an integral part of the Tamil Thalaivas team.
